The 30S and the 30SF share the same frame. It's a Gen3 Short Frame "SF". The short frame is reduced trigger reach essentially. So the length from the back strap to the front of the grip is shorter. Same as what a Gen4 is with no added back strap. The difference with the 30S is it uses the 36 single stack slide.The Glock 30S slide is on a 30SF frame from the factory, so I am unsure of your question. If the serial numbers on the barrel, slide, and frame match I would't worry too much.
